Intro to Current Tech
What is this newsletter and why did I make it?
I’m changing my mindset with respect to newsletters.
Previous thought: I post daily on social media. There’s no need for a newsletter. It’s just another noisy duplicate channel.
New thought: I post daily on social media. These posts are not all equally valuable and they are much more ephemeral than a newsletter.
A newsletter allows me to subselect the most important daily notes into a durable form with lower frequency and higher quality.
Much of my social content is based on video. I will need to convert that to text. The process of revisiting the content a second time and writing will further raise the quality bar.
This results in:
a slightly different ideal subscriber profile
better suitability as an AI training source
new collaboration opportunities with tech experts that prefer the article form
How the newsletter works, modeled after the Mozi Minute from Alex Hormozi:
Cadence of 1-2 times per week.
Estimating read time under 5 minutes per article.
Target reading level under grade 10. One way to check is using this Read-o-Meter <https://ireadthis.online/>
Topics include career development, tech news, personal learnings, and guest articles from industry experts.
